Where to carry

Where to Carry is your personalised insider's guide to Edinburgh and London. The Strathberry team will be recommending our favourite spots around the city, from the best coffee stops to inspiring art galleries.

Check out Where to Carry to stay in-the-know with the latest Strathberry discoveries.

The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art

The grand gallery is a 10-minute walk from our Edinburgh boutique. We advise visiting after treating yourself with a Strathberry; take your new bag and introduce her to some culture.

Browse the evoking collections and experience fabulous contemporary art, tailored to all tastes. Immerse yourself in the outdoor sculpture park on the grounds of Modern One and Two and stop for lunch in either of the two cafés.

Don’t miss the spectacular sculpture by Nathan Coley ‘There Will Be No Miracles Here’. (Strathberry highlight: this makes a fantastic photo-op).

Rogue Flowers

Flowers, flowers, flowers. We love them and we know that you do, too. This is why Rogue has made it onto our Where To Carry edit.

Less than a minute walk from our Edinburgh boutique, we think that this florist is worth a visit before heading to your next destination. Not only are we besotted with the aesthetically pleasing array of flowers, we adore the visible signs of the seasons changing. Think pumpkins for Autumn, wonderful blossoms in Spring and Eucalyptus for all year around.

Roses are red, Violets are blue, you’ve just bought a Strathberry, now pick up some flowers too.

STRATHBERRY highlight: don’t save buying flowers for a special occasion, every day is special.

Cairngorm Coffee

Shopping can be thirsty work. If you fancy a little pick-me-up after browsing our Melville Street boutique, we recommend Cairngorm Coffee - situated just up the road. Not only do we love their light, minimalist, laid-back interior, but we are addicted to their coffee. They serve their own brand, which is roasted in the Cairngorms every week, making it even more special.

It seems that we are not the only ones who adore Cairngorm Coffee as their sister shop on Frederik Street was recommended by Vogue in 2017. The café has a very inviting and cosy atmosphere and it will make you not want to leave.

Go for a quick coffee or sit in for a casual brunch, either way it is worth a visit. STRATHBERRY tip: try their vegan treats.
